From the peaks of Ladakh to the Indian Ocean, I followed the ancient paths of the Silk Road in search of inspiration. Among Buddhist monasteries and bustling markets full of history, I ‘ve discovered stones and symbols that connect tradition and ancestral energy. Back in Sri Lanka, these pieces are transformed into jewelry that brings together culture, respect, and conscious beauty.

A timeless fusion of tradition and artistry, Sri Lankan batik captures the island’s vibrant spirit through intricate, hand-drawn patterns inspired by its exotic nature. Introduced by Dutch traders and later revitalised by visionaries like Ena de Silva and Geoffrey Bawa, this UNESCO-recognised craft has evolved into a national symbol. Today, its mesmerising colours continue to inspire us, celebrating Sri Lanka’s rich heritage and boundless creativity.

This “timeless spell” is the defining essence of the island of Sri Lanka, and my inspiration when I’m creating my jewellery designs. Through them, I try to convey this same sense of timeless magic that can be felt in the streets and buildings of cities like Galle and Colombo, and which lead me to fall in love with this island and its people.
