From the extraction of precious gemstones deep within the mines, to the meticulous craftsmanship of the ancestral artisanal production techniques, and the myriad influences that inspire our creative vision. Here, you’ll discover a window into our exclusive universe, where we will share the philosophy and values that breathe life into each of our pieces.

Above all, we’ll emphasise our unwavering commitment to sustainable and responsible mining, and the ethical practices that lie at the very heart of OONA. We believe that it’s essential to raise awareness about what is behind the acquisition of a precious stone: from the environmental impact to the conditions of the mining communities who extract them, the importance of understanding its origins, and ensuring transparency at every step of the journey.

This is our way of contributing to a better world and giving back to the earth a portion of the beauty it so generously bestows upon us.

Over a decade ago, I chose to make a transformative change in my life, setting course for Sri Lanka to embark on the grand adventure of OONA. Through this journal, I also want to share with you the lush beauty of this small island in the Indian Ocean that I consider my second home—its landscapes, traditions, its rich culture imbued with the nostalgic charm of former Ceylon, and its kind-hearted people who continue to captivate me.
